6 Things I learned from the 14 Day Resilience Check In

Updated: Sep 23, 2021

1) An important reminder of my own resilience.

I loved how this challenge was an important reminder for my own resilience and I found the check in each day really helpful. Setting aside time and making yourself a priority is always tricky so I really appreciated the structure and consistency of the 14 days.

2) Connecting with others is what this is all about.

I very much enjoyed engaging with people in this important work. I was so grateful for people's support and interaction.

3) Marketing is hard.

This will always be a struggle for me. Kudos to all of the marketing gurus out there, your job is really really hard. In this instance, the posts I made on on the weekend had less engagement. Also people seem to want videos directly imbedded into the application they are using instead of a link to another application.

4) Recording 3 minute videos for 14 days is really time consuming.

This took a lot longer than I expected. Thank goodness for the scheduling option so that I could record and post multiple videos at once. I also learned out how to schedule Tweets.

5) Stepping outside my comfort zone always enhances my creativity.

I know it sounds cliché but there is so much truth in this. I love how when I push myself to try something new, I always gain new learnings and insight. It is like I am reconnecting with my creative side each and every time. I love the flow that happens as a result of new experiences.

6) Finding 14 different shirts that I love proved challenging.

I am sort of joking but not. Seeing myself on video always feels weird. Ensuring the volume, the lighting and the backdrop are all working correctly are certainly not my area of expertise but I definitely learned a lot from this entire experience.

So I encourage you to explore your resiliency for 14 days and see what perspective and insight you gain from the experience.
